Maslenitsa to be celebrated in Dagestan

In Makhachkala in the great hall of the Russian Drama Theatre, a celebration of Russian culture will be held by the Dagestani republic to mark Maslenitsa, Russia's Mardi Gras. The event will be held during the festival of Russian folk song 'Mother Russia'.The organizers of the festival will carry out a government commission of the republic on the Russian-speaking population, the Ministry of Culture of Dagestan, the Republican House of Folk Art, the Ministry of Culture, the administration and management of culture in Makhachkala involving municipalities of the city of the Kizlyar Kizlyar and Tarumovsky districts.This is the twelfth time that Maslenitsa will be held in the capital of Dagestan. This year it is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It will bring together creative teams and performers from Kizlyar, the Tarumovsky District, Makhachkala, Izberbash, Kizlyar, Kaspiysk, Derbent, the Dagestan Lights, as well as the well-known professional groups the Dagestani State Terek Cossack song ensemble from Kizlyar, the State Theatre Song 'Gisli', and the Gorky Russian Drama Theatre, soloists of Daggosfilarmonii, the show-ballet 'Ademos' and guests from the Astrakhan and Rostov regions, and Stavropol Territory.In Makhachkala in the great hall of the Russian Drama Theatre, a celebration of Russian culture will be held by the Dagestani republic to mark Maslenitsa, Russia's Mardi Gras.
