Minsk talks on Ukraine begin

 

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko have started their talks at the Republican Palace in Minsk to discuss settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine, where the war had resumed in January.The meeting was organized according to a decision made during the visit of Merkel and Hollande to Moscow on Friday, after discussions of peace plans with Putin. Before that, they had visited Kiev and met with Poroshenko.
