Europe wants to increase gas purchases from Azerbaijan

 

The first Consultative Council of the Southern Gas Corridor discussed increase of gas exports from Azerbaijan to Europe at the first session. The potential of the Southern Gas Corridor may be increased from 10 billion cubic meters of gas to 20 billion using the Shah Deniz Field, Trend reports.According to Vice President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic, Turkmenistan is interested in selling gas to Europe as well. Transporting gas from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan will require solution of technical and legal issues.
