Gazprom reduces purchases of Turkmen oil almost threefold

 

Gazprom has reduced purchases of Turkmen oil from 11 to 4 billion cubic metes annually this year. The Turkmen government noted that Russia and Gazprom had not invested in the construction of the Caspian Gas Pipeline and the East-West Pipeline they were obliged to. Overall, Turkmen authorities called Gazprom an unstable partner, Gazeta.ru reports.Turkmenistan plans to increase gas extraction to 83.8 billion cubic meters this year, exporting about 48 billion cubic meters of the volume.
