The appointment of Mikheil Saakashvili as chairman of Ukraine's advisory board on international reforms "may cause a certain awkward situation in Georgian-Ukrainian relations," the President of the Republic Giorgi Margvelashvili stated.

At the same time, he expressed hope that "developments will avoid these inconveniences." Appointments in Kiev "are the internal affair of Ukraine," the President said.

"I respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and will not make a comment regarding Ukraine’s domestic policy," TASS cited Margvelashvili.
