Turkey provides territory to prepare Syrian opposition

The Turkish authorities have agreed to provide a site for the preparation of Syrian opposition groups that will fight Islamic State, spokesperson for the US State Department confirmed during a briefing. 

"As we announced before, Turkey has agreed to be one of the regional hosts for the train and equip program for the moderate Syrian opposition forces," TASS cited Jen Psaki as saying. 

Washington hopes that the agreement will be signed soon. The beginning of the program is scheduled for March.
