Azad Rahimov: "We will make every effort to ensure European Games are held at the highest level"

Azerbaijan's Minister for Youth and Sports, Azad Rahimov, spoke about the preparations for the first European Games, and emphasized that every effort would be made to ensure that the Games take place at the highest organizational level. The first-ever European Games will be held in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, on June 12 to 28, 2015. The decision was taken in December 2012 in Rome, and on July 12, 2013, 700 days before the Games, a special counter was launched, counting down the days before the launch of the games. The games are held by International Olympic Committee, which currently unites 49 National Olympic Committees of Europe.
