Nazarbayev and Patrushev discuss bilateral relations and the situation in Ukraine

In particular, the sides exchanged views on the situation in south-eastern Ukraine, the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reports. "The sides touched upon economic cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, and new threats related to the situation in the Middle East and Afghanistan," the report says.
According to the press service, Patrushev has arrived in Astana to attend joint consultations of the security councils of Kazakhstan and Russia.
