Iran elects representatives to Iranian parliament on February 26
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe spokesman for Iran’s Guardian Council, Nejatollah Ebrahimian, said that legislative elections to elect representatives to the Iranian parliament will take place on February 26, 2016.
The election for choosing members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts, an overarching body which supervises Iran’s leadership, will take place on the same day. This will be the first time the two major bodies are elected simultaneously, Trend reports.
The Iranian Parliament is composed of 290 deputies. The last parliamentary elections in the country were held on March 2, 2012.
