Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and highlighted the prospects for deepening it.

"Special attention was paid to the issues of regional security and energy security. The conversation also touched on the specific projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, that are carried out jointly by Georgia and Azerbaijan," News-Georgia cited the press service of the Georgian president.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister arrived on a two-day official visit to Tbilisi on February 19. He has already met with his Georgian counterpart, Tamar Beruchashvili, as well as with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.
