Turkmenistan and Iran discuss customs cooperation

The 11th meeting of the Turkmenistan-Iran intergovernmental commission for consular, border and customs issues, held in Ashgabat, has mulled the implementation of agreements reached earlier.

 

The Iranian side was represented at the meeting by the deputy foreign minister for consular and parliamentary affairs, Hasan Gashgavi.

 

The sides also discussed the development of cooperation in the improvement of legal aspects of consular issues, cooperation in border control, the establishment of effective control of checkpoints.

 

Also the parties discussed the operation of the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan railway, which has been recently commissioned, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen government.
