OSCE fears ceasefire breach may provoke escalation of violence

 

Ivica Dacic, the OSCE chairperson, the Serbian foreign minister, said today that violations of the ceasefire in the east of Ukraine may provoke more violence in the region. He urged the sides of conflict to stop any actions hindering the peace process launched in Minsk on February 12, TASS reports.Dacic noted that he had met with Heidi Tagliavini, his representative in the contact group, Ertugrul Apakan, the head of the OSCE mission in Ukraine, and Paul Picard, the head of the monitoring mission on border posts in Donetsk and Gukovo. The OSCE chairperson said that all sides should respect the Minsk Agreements and the ceasefire.
