International investigators have now completed their study of the wrecked Boeing airliner which crashed in July 2014 near Donetsk, the Security Council of the Netherlands announced yesterday.

"Over the last week, experts carefully examined the wreckage, including the nature of the damage and dents," the organization noted.
Today, the experts held a meeting at the Dutch airbase of Gilze-Reiene, as stipulated by the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the study of international accidents and incidents," Tass quotes the statement.

The meeting at the airbase was attended by representatives of Australia, the UK, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine and the USA, as well as the ICAO.

"Next week preparations will be held at the air base for a visit by relatives of victims of the tragedy, due to be held in the first week of March," the Dutch Security Council said. "After this, reconstruction of the aircraft will begin."

Experts expect that the reconstruction will help to understand what caused the crash.
