Alexander Dzasokhov: Russia and Azerbaijan have great relations thanks to Heydar AliyevRelations between Russia and Azerbaijan are in excellent condition and they have great prospects for further development, the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin said week.The vice-president of the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs, the former president of North Ossetia, diplomat Alexander Dzasokhov gave an interview to "Vestnik Kavkaza" and stressed that the foundation of Russian-Azerbaijani relations had been laid by Heydar Aliyev. "The name and the mission of Heydar Aliyev are part of history, but they are also part of today. It seems to me that many of his actions, thoughts, ideas about the future of Azerbaijan and the future of the Azerbaijani-Russian relations are not only mere facts, they have a very practical value. I would advise anyone in politics to refer to the political and public heritage of Heydar Aliyev," Dzasokhov said.He stressed that Aliyev had a great knowledge of all the neighbors of Azerbaijan.
