Normandy Four fails to reach agreement on Debaltsevo
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe foreign ministers of the Normandy Four (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) have concluded their talks in Paris lasting about 3 hours. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the meeting fruitful. He left the meeting to meet with the head of the IRCC in Moscow, TASS reports.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that the Normandy Four did not reach a consensus on the situation in Debaltsevo. His German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier noted that the situation in Ukraine was unstable, despite the falling level of violence.
The Normandy Four agreed to extend the mandate of the OSCE mission. Steinmeier added that heavy weapons should be withdrawn in the next few days.
