Valentina Matviyenko supports reduction in MPs’ salaries

Valentina Matviyenko, the speaker of the Federation Council, says that the majority of senators support the idea of reducing their salaries by 10%. According to the speaker, committees will discuss the proposals and present their final decisions. After that, a draft will be sent to the President for making amendments to the act by the head of the state.
