Russian Energy Ministry and Gazprom cooperate on Ukrainian issue

The Russian Energy Ministry and Gazprom are in touch with European partners in settling the Ukrainian gas issue, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Spokesman Dmitry Peskov. He noted that Ukraine needed to respond to Gazprom head Alexey Miller’s warning about possible problems for late payments, TASS reports. 

Peskov added that an exchange if letters had taken place between Miller and his Ukrainian counterparts from Naftogaz yesterday. He reminded that there was only enough gas left for a few more days.
