Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said that the US should correct the steps it has taken in the nuclear talks with Iran.

He blamed the US administration for the failure of negotiations in 2004, which were attended by Britain, France and Germany.

"Our relations with countries around the globe, including China and other Asian countries, have expanded meaningfully and our relations with the European countries, too, are expanding noticeably," IRNA cited Rouhani.

As Rouhani suggested, for the period of his term in office, "Iran's relations with its neighbors, except for ties with one or two of them, have improved extraordinarily," Tass cited him as saying.
