Prime Minister Garibashvili: Georgia has proven decisiveness to integrate into EU

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has met with his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta in Bucharest today. One of the main topics of their discussions was regional security. The prime ministers agreed to intensify cooperation to boost trade turnover, business activity and investing, Trend reports.


Georgia is actively cooperating with the EU within the framework of the Association Agreement, according to Ponta. The Romanian PM expressed hope that Georgia would sign a similar agreement with NATO.


Ponta expressed support for Georgia's Euro-Atlantic course and thanked Garibashvili for his visit. The latter thanked Ponta for his hospitality and reminded that Georgia's integration into the EU and NATO was a priority. He added that Georgia had proven its decisiveness in realizing reforms and integrating into the EU at the Riga summit.
