Ministry of Health to check how flu victims were treated in North Ossetia

The Russian Ministry of Health will check how patients dying of influenza were treated in hospital in North Ossetia.

"I would like to inform you that the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova instructed the Federal Service for Supervision of Health to verify the quality of medical care to citizens who died from influenza and pneumonia in North Ossetia," the head of the press service of the Ministry of Health, Oleg Salaguy, is quoted by TASS.

He recalled that in North Ossetia alone, 16 deaths from flu were recorded, flu was laboratory-confirmed in only three cases, there were 13 confirmations if bacterial pneumonia.

"Those who died from the flu were not vaccinated," Salaguy added.
