Georgian exports fell by almost a third in January

In January 2015 the foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to $694 million, 9% lower than in January 2014.

 

According to Gruzstat (National Statistical Service of Georgia), in the overall structure of foreign trade turnover in January exports amounted to $156 million (a fall of 30% compared to the same period in January 2014), while imports are $538 million (down 1%).

 

The negative trade balance of Georgia in January 2015 was $382 million, or 55% of the total foreign trade turnover, Trend reports.
