IAEA does not plan to check Iranian facility in Marivan

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said at the board of governors today that the Agency was not interested in checking the Iranian facility in Marivan, 700km west of Tehran. He reminded that the Agency had explained the reasons why the facility was of no interest back in 2012, RIA Novosti reports.Amano confirmed that the Marivan facility was among the 12 topics associated with the military aspects of the Iranian nuclear program listed in the IAEA report of 2011.Iran offered the IAEA to visit the facility as a place of alleged experiments with highly explosive materials. The IAEA rejected the offer.
