German Foreign Ministry: Merkel and Hollande give last chance for peace settlement in Ukraine

Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Michael Roth, said that the joint initiative of the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande may be the last chance to resolve the conflict by diplomatic means.

"A joint initiative of the Federal Chancellor Merkel and President Hollande, aimed at achieving a truce in the Ukraine, has not led to a final settlement. However, this is an important contribution, this may be the last chance to resolve this conflict by diplomatic means," RIA Novosti cited him.
