Rate of per capita income growth in North Ossetia is one of highest among Russian regions.The Ministry for Regional Development has published a report on the
situation in the economy, the financial banking and social spheres in
the Russian Federation in January-September 2010. The republic of
North Ossetia-Alania is one of the leading Russian regions in terms of
per capita income growth.

A growth in lending to businesses and individuals and in the average
monthly wage for workers has been observed since the beginning of this
year. The report marks a decline in the registered unemployment rate
and a slight reduction in wage arrears. According to the report, the
situation in the real economy of North Ossetia-Alania is higher than
the national level. North Ossetia comes second in Russian per capita
real income growth after the Krasnodar region and registers 123.6%
growth.
