Azerbaijan removes ‘physical education’ from higher educational programs

It is necessary to work more actively with students, Azerbaijani Education Minister Mikhail Jabbarov said at the opening of the educational building of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction.

According to him, the higher educational system plays a significant role in raising students as citizens. And the work with students has become more difficult compared to previous years.Jabbarov said that the country's universities provide the conditions for the development of areas of interest to students, and one of them is physical education.

The minister said that the subject 'physical education' has been removed from higher educational programs.He said the mission cannot be completed along with preparing a professional, adding that the ministry is ready to receive and support proposals for supporting the activity in this regard.

The role of higher education institutions is not limited to the preparation of professionals, so the Ministry is ready to support proposals for the organization of various student groups, Trend quoted Jabbarov.
