Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi has noted that progress has recently been made in the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program.

"Achieving a comprehensive agreement on the nuclear issue of Iran will help to strengthen the international system of opposition to nuclear proliferation, will contribute to peace and stability ... At the moment there is some uncertainty about the future prospects for negotiations, but we are already seeing light at the end of the tunnel. The negotiations have entered a critical stage," Wang was quoted by Trend.

The minister also stressed that the parties in the negotiations, in particular the "most important", should take a "political decision" on this issue as soon as possible.
