Iran launches its first destroyer on the Caspian Sea

Tomorrow on the Caspian Sea near the northern port city of Bandar Anzali, Iran will launch its first destroyer Damavand, whose construction began in 2010 , IRNA reports.

The ceremony will be attended by senior military officials of Iran, including the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayar, as well as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Shamhani, Trend reports.

The destroyer will join the ranks of Iran's Fourth Fleet on the Caspian Sea.
