Head of Crimea to halve his salary

Crimea’s head Sergey Aksyonov will cut his salary not by 10%, but by half, Aksyonov said.

"I can afford cutting my salary by half. The draft decree is being prepared, it will be published this week," RIA Novosti cited him.

According to him, salaries of civil servants and Crimean officials will not be reduced, nor will their numbers be decreased.

He said that Crimea is still going through a transitional period, requiring a lot of effort for the paperwork.
