Nazarbayev to participate in presidential elections in Kazakhstan

The Nur Otan party has decided to nominate Nursultan Nazarbayev as a candidate for the presidency during a congress attended by over 1200 delegates.

"By the decision of the 16th Congress of the Nur Otan party, Nursultan Nazarbayev has been unanimously nominated as a candidate for president," RIA Novosti cited the First Deputy Chairman of the Nur Otan party, Bauyrzhan Baibek.

The early presidential election is scheduled for April 26.
