Riad Haddad: “The Arab Spring turned out to be an Arab fire”

Riad Haddad, the ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia, speaks about the tense situation in the Middle East. He thinks that the Arab Spring has turned out to be an Arab fire. The political situation in the Middle East became sharper after the wave of Arab revolutions. The unprecedented splash of Islamism, which stepped outside the circle of regional problems, has turned into one of the main threats to international security. It demands consolidation of efforts by regional and non-regional countries which are interested in stable development of the Middle East.
