Šefčovič: Turkey to cooperate with EU in energy sector
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkey and the EU are ready to improve their energy cooperation, the Vice President of the European Commission in charge of the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, posted on his Twitter page.
"EU and Turkey are committed to improve energy cooperation," the official wrote, reporting in a previous post that Turkey is a key partner for EU energy security, RIA Novosti reports.
The European Commission considers the Southern Gas Corridor to be the most important gas project now.
Russia plans to withdraw from the transit of natural gas through Ukraine to the EU and to transfer it to European consumers on the border of Turkey and Greece.
