Foreign specialists to lecture at Azerbaijani universities

Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry will invite foreign specialists to lecture at Azerbaijani universities, the country’s Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov said during the Azerbaijan Investment Summit in Baku today.

He said that it is planned to invite foreign specialists under the new state program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad that is currently being prepared by the Ministry.

"The issue of continuing this state program in subsequent years was discussed last week. As part of the new program, we plan to invite teachers and professors to Azerbaijan. 

Alongside delivering lectures, they will also assist in working out curriculums and in carrying out scientific research," Trend cited him as saying.

According to the minister, under the state program around 900 Azerbaijani students have already completed their education in foreign universities and over 1000 young Azerbaijani people have been sent abroad for education in the last two years.
