Kazakhstan registers 3rd presidential candidate

Kazakhstan’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has registered a third candidate for participation in the upcoming presidential election - Abilgazi Kusainov, a self-nominated candidate.

Earlier, the CEC registered the incumbent president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, nominated by the Nur Otan party, and Turgun Syzdykov, nominated by the Communist People’s Party, for their participation in the election.

The presidential election in Kazakhstan is scheduled for April 26.
