The Heritage Foundation: "Another attempt by the US to create spheres of influence could fail"
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIndependent information portal LewRockwell.com writes today about US intentions toward Russia. In its opinion, the main desire of America is to isolate Russia from Europe. In this case, it is understandable that the US is still trying to influence Crimea to return to Ukraine. For Washington, Ukraine and Crimea are a good excuse for political, economic, military and cultural ties between Russia and Europe to be destroyed. All the ties that the Russian president has built over the years with the European community may be torn up due to the intentions of the United States.
As long as Russia is not able to develop a response plan to prevent Washington's influence in the European Union, Crimea will still be the center of attention of the world community as annexed territory, and not as a region that alone made the decision to join the Russian Federation.
The American publication the Heritage Foundation writes today about the impact of Russia on the nuclear talks on Iran. While the US cannot come to a consensus on the Iranian nuclear program, analysts believe that Russia might say a weighty word, thereby changing the course of events.
The thing is that Moscow and Tehran have been converging more and more lately, both in economic and military cooperation. In addition, both countries are actively involved in the peace talks on Syria. However, the leaders of both countries think about even closer partnership. None of this can remain unnoticed by the US, because a revision of forces in the world political arena for them is very desirable.
If we imagine a world in which Iran has nuclear weapons, a partnership with Russia and the rule in the Middle East, it is easy to understand that the role of the United States would be very small compared with other countries. Therefore, on the one hand for the United States it is very important to contain Iran's nuclear program. On the other hand, if there is too much pressure on Iran, the US will lose an ally in the fight against ISIS, which cannot be accepted by American diplomats.
At the moment, the negotiations are very difficult, the parties cannot come to any agreement, but sooner or later the negotiations will be terminated. And what the world will be like afterwards is still unclear. Another attempt by the US to create spheres of influence could fail if countries which are strategic partners, Russia and Iran, are able to unite in achieving their goals.
