Turkey will not let tankers with liquefied gas for Ukraine through Bosphorus

Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Yonet Jan Tezelsaid that Turkey will not let tankers with liquefied natural gas for Ukraine pass the Bosphorus Strait due to their risks for the population of Istanbul, TASS reports.


The diplomat denied any association of the restrictions with the international situation.


Ukrainian Deputy Minister for Energy and Coal Industry Alexander Svetelik had said earlier today that Ukraine was negotiating liquefied gas shipments through the Bosphorus with Turkey.
