French leader to hold talks with Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaFrench President Francois Hollande will visit the South Caucasus in late April and hold Nagorno-Karabakh talks with his Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, said French Secretary of State for European Affairs Harlem Desir today, News Armenia reports.
The official stated that France will put all efforts into the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and protection of the right for self-determination in the region. The status quo did not meet the interests of Azerbaijan or Armenia, Desir noted.
The secretary of state reminded that President Hollande organized a summit for Presidents Sargsyan and Aliyev on October 27, 2014, resulting in the readiness of the countries to exchange information on missing persons.
Desir concluded that tensions in recent months proved the need for realization of principles. France will continue its mediatory mission.
