Introduction of minimum price for brandy in Russia will not affect Armenian brandy
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe minimum price for brandy that has been introduced in Russia will not affect the Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC), said the executive director of the YBC, Ara Grigoryan, at a press conference on Tuesday, News-Armenia reports.
On the 1st of January 2011 a minimum price for brandy will be introduced in Russia. The wholesale price will be no less than 165-175 rubles, and the final price of the retail link - a minimum of 190-210 rubles. "The purpose of the new minimum price is to regulate the Russian brandy market," the Executive Director of YBC claimed. According to him, the lowest price for a bottle of brandy produced by the YBC in Russia is 650 rubles, meaning the YBC will not be affected by the new regulations.
