Funny fairytale and sad truth

The events taking place on the eve of the anniversary of our national tragedy, unwittingly recall characters from Russian folk tales - the king and his three sons. Two of the princes, as we know, were considered clever, and the third, the youngest, was a fool. The conditional distribution of these folk characters among the protagonists of the Armenian political circles creates quite a funny picture.
In the role of the king of the scene there is the Founding President of independent Armenia, he is wise and visionary and a political analyst, he is an ideologist of bloodless bourgeois-democratic reforms, and finally, he is the parent and mentor of Armenia's heirs to the throne. Incidentally, referring to the roots of the hereditary status of the "smart princes," it should be remembered that both of them are classical nomenclatura of the Communist Party and Komsomol students, whose ideology is heavily seasoned with traditional corruption of Asian sample.
As for the third son, against the background of another ridiculous row this figure deserves a separate approach. Enthusiastic narcissist summed him up for a moment, telling him that he had already grown up and matured, to not only have his own thoughts, but also that he has the right to publicly express himself without asking for his dad's permission, or that of his worldly-wise elder brothers. Here this fool blurted out that for the happiness of his people, dying in poverty, he is able to sacrifice all his benefits, including his own life, and for this noble goal he is even ready to take the presidency.
It is worth noting that this part of his dramatic tirade sounded sincere, with a trembling voice, which confirmed the long-known truth that qualifying for the Armenian throne without the consent of godfathers and brothers is equivalent to deadly tricks.
Such unprecedented audacity, of course, could ruffle anyone, and there was not long to wait for the terrible wrath of the reigning lord. Actively supported by a retinue of sycophant-guardsmen, he publicly told the lad his true place, at the same time recalling the violent nickname of the fool.
And then the excited pack of sycophants howled at the top of their overfed throats. As if at the command of a handler, the ferocious dogs furiously pounced on the poor fool: the saintly, domestic, bald and glowing scout-master, the formidable general with the vocabulary of a drunken sergeant, and even the native matchmaker with the habits of a mouse. This latter, trying to outdo everyone, in a fit of enthusiasm reached the upper middle and said: "If someone is stupid enough not to understand three times, he should get bashed on the head!"
The row shocked the audience to the point of highest electrification. Many expected the tawdry performance not only to be a miserable failure, but also fraught with unpredictable consequences, if the audience will understand who is who and will burst onto the stage, destroying the scenery and violently kicking the decorations, actors and directors of all this vile illusion, for some reason called Armenia's internal political life.
And then it was time for the next intervention of the founding father, who this time decided to use a high-level epistolary genre. The meaning of his open letter to the president was simple and clear: there is no need to sacrifice so carefully-promoted a puppet and send it to a landfill in a temper. Who cares that he blurted out more nonsense, following the advice of enemies. But in general, he is one of the boys and he may even be needed for a new performance to fool the public. In short, the row in the royal family was resolved in full compliance with the logic of the folk genre, and the Prince-fool retired, disappearing from the scaffolding of Armenian politics in the English manner...
... But it is time to terminate the analogy with the fairytale and address our sad reality with seriousness and without sarcasm. Now that the dust has settled after the ugly incident, and the fervour of the comments has subsided, it is easy to ensure that politics as such, and a political struggle in the sense of a confrontation between the authorities and the opposition in Armenia, does not exist as such. And such a circumstance, unique of its kind, has been accompanying our reality exactly since the time 17 years ago when a classic anti-constitutional coup took place in the country. Then, the political gamble was justified by the fact that supposedly no one was able to resolve the Karabakh problem better than the Karabakh people themselves.
Today there is hardly a sane man capable of protesting against the fact that a crude feint by Soviet careerists led not only to poor, but to the most disastrous results. There is practically nothing resembling the elements of civilized justice, modern scientific, technological and socio-economic, cultural and educational progress, not to mention civic consciousness, respect for freedom of speech and choice, the right to life and the basic norms of human morality. It seems that there is no point in repeating the endless series of criminal and treacherous steps taken not in the interests of the nation, these steps were directly related to the activities of illegitimate power.
As for the reasons for its longevity, it is enough to point out the main one of them - a surrogate opposition, which calls itself by the cowardly political science strange neologism "authorities without authority." In fact, these are the people who have always dutifully echoed those who were milking a powerless goat. Those familiar with these audience are not surprised by the absurdity, because it is known that those "powerless gentlemen" with happy and well-fed faces are fed from the same trough as the authorities. ...
... This is how the funny fairytale and sad truth looks in our reality unfortunately.
