Russian jubilee Victory medals given to veterans in US

Yesterday in the United States a hundred Russian veterans were awarded the jubilee medals '70 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945'. Among the one hundred awardees were members of the Massachusetts Organization of Veterans of the Second World War - natives of the USSR and representatives of social centers for veterans.

Russian General Consul in New York Igor Golubovskii said that "this is the biggest group of veterans honored with jubilee awards of Russia in Massachusetts state." Speaking at the ceremony, he congratulated the veterans and stressed the inadmissibility of a revival of Nazism and the falsification of the history of World War II, TASS reports.
