Fourth meeting of IOC Coordinating Commission starts in Sochi

The latest meeting of the Coordinating Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the Olympic Games 2014 took place on the 12th of October in Sochi. On the opening day of the meeting the first snow appeared on the future Olympic tracks, Yuga.ru reports, quoting the press service of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee.

"We are now starting to test the capacities of Sochi in hosting the Winter Games already, more than three years before the start of the Games. From January 2011 there will be 74 test events, including 29 international ones,"said the President of the Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The IOC Coordinating Commission is on a visit to Sochi from October 12 to 14. Its aim is to examine the progress made by the participants in the project "Sochi 2014" since the last visit of the Commission in April 2010.
