Cotton sowing begins in Turkmenistan

Cotton sowing has started in Turkmenistan, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture announced.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov stressed the importance of following all the norms of agronomical practice.

"Holding this campaign on time plays an important role in getting a bountiful harvest," Trend cited him as saying.

Cotton sowing in Ahal, Lebap and Mary provinces will start on March 27 and in Dashoguz province on April 3.
