Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is considering promoting additional incentives for regions that actively attract investors, RIA Novosti reports.

"It is at the very level of the administration of the Federation and of local self-government that the practical issues of the placement of new business establishments are being discussed, as well as everything concerning the allocation of land, construction of access roads and utility infrastructure," the prime minister explained.

He emphasised that he appreciates the position of those governors who are personally involved in attracting investors to their regions. "Naturally, I am referring to those cases where the regional leaders are interested in everyone equally and do not divide businessmen into their own ones and other ones," Vladimir Putin said.
