Israeli special services were spying on the talks on Iran's nuclear program to obtain information about its progress and Washington's position, the Wall Street Journal reports with reference to a source.

According to the publication, the spying operation was part of a broader campaign by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

In addition to eavesdropping, Israel acquired information from confidential US briefings, informants and diplomatic contacts in Europe, Kommersant reports.
