Ukraine will provide the first 80,000 tons of oil for Belarus using the Odessa-Brody pipeline, ITAR-TASS reports.

The government will carry out a test pumping of oil for the Belarus oil refinery in Mozyr, the Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuri Boiko said.

In April this year Ukraine received the first tanker of oil from Venezuela for Belarus. Its further transport was carried out via rail.

In 2010 they plan to transport 1.5 million tons of oil this way. Ukraine and Belarus agreed this summer to use Odessa-Brody pipeline for oil transport to Mozyr. This option involves using the ‘Friendship’ pipeline.
