Minnikhanov becomes acting head of Tatarstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Rustam Minnikhanov as the acting head of Tatarstan until the elections set for September 2015. Putin emphasized at a meeting with Minnikhanov that progress achieved in Tatarstan was a highlight among all Russian regions. Minnikhanov's term of service will soon expire, TASS reports.

The Russian president encouraged the acting leader of Tatarstan to continue serving until September 2015.
