Turkey intends to convey to the world the truth about the 1915 events, the speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Cemil Cicek said, noting that the Turkish authorities have repeatedly declared their readiness to establish a commission to find out the truth about the 1915 events.

Ankara will not allow anyone to use the 1915 events to put political pressure on Turkey, the speaker of the National Parliament said.

Previously, the Turkish authorities have repeatedly made gestures to Armenia. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s message to the Armenian people on April 24, 2014 is one such recent gesture. He said that the events of 1915 were a difficult time not only for Armenians, but also for Arabs, Kurds and representatives of other nations living in the country, Trend reports with reference to the Anadolu Agency.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire, allegedly carried out 'genocide' against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915.  While strengthening the efforts to promote the 'genocide' in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
