Georgia adopts child safety belt law

Georgian parliament has approved amendments to the Code of Administrative Laws in the first reading, obliging parents to make their children wear safety belts while in cars. The fine will be equal to approximately $21.7, Georgia Online reports.


Vice-Speaker of the opposition fraction ‘Christians-Democrats’ Levan Vepkhvadze said the law should not apply to the countryside because “no one there will follow them”.
