Russia will develop cooperation with new Israeli government

Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said that Russia was ready to cooperate with a new Israeli government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu. In his words, Russia regards Israel as a significant partner. He expressed hope that the cooperation would encourage the Palestinian-Israeli settlement process to achieve peace and security in the Middle East, TASS reports.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party won the off-year parliamentary polls. The new Cabinet will have been formed by May 7.
