1,500 North Caucasians fight among ISIS militants

 

Sergey Melikov, Russian plenipotentiary presidential envoy to the NCFD, told editors of regional media in Pyatigorsk that about 1,500 natives of the North Caucasus were fighting in Syria and Iraq in the ranks of ISIS, TASS reports.He added that at least five militants killed in Dagestan in 2014 were identified as veterans of the war in Syria.
