Kurtanidze: Saakashvili's return to Georgia would cost his life

The return to Georgia of the former  President of the Republic, Mikheil Saakashvili, could cost him his life,  lawmaker from the ruling coalition Eldar Kurtanidze said in an interview to reportiori.ge.

"The regime that committed so many atrocities, condemned everyone, will never have a chance of returning to power," Georgia Online quotes him as saying.

"As for Saakashvili, returning to Georgia would result in his physical elimination. This could be done by people who were affected by the violence of the previous regime," the deputy said.

"If Saakashvili is not condemned, somewhere and sometime it will spill over and lead to bad consequences,"  Kurtanidze said.
